Based on the The Negro Motorist Green Book by Victor Hugo Green, The Survival Project was a devised piece that centered around themes of racism and exclusion. The sound and music were designed to explore the beauty in dissonance and the dissonance in beauty.

Mrs. Packard, UC Irvine Drama, 2018 (Composition)
Emily Mann’s portrayal of Elizabeth Packard’s struggle to prove her sanity called for an eerie, delicate score. I used plucked stringed instruments to support the 1860’s, mid-America setting for the show.

Princess and the Players, Texas Shakespeare Festival, 2015 (Sound Design/Composition)
This story follows Peach through a magical forest as she looks for her lost family. For the show, I wanted to make music that kids could relate to, so I orchestrated this show using classroom instruments. There are a few nods to the rest of the season in the preshow music (Little Bird, Little Bird - Man of La Mancha, O Mistress Mine - Twelfth Night).

Lighting Design: Kevin Allinder
